15W audio Amplifier (using 3 transistors)

Posted by Ilias-Man On Monday, February 6, 2012 6 comments
This is a 15W audio amplifier using 3 transistors.

The gain of the circuit is approximately 40DB (X90, Vcc=12V)
The distortion 0.1-10%.
Use 4Ω or 8Ω.

Thanks.

Two transistors high gain preamplifier

This is a high gain low signal preamplifier made by two small transistors bc549.Both transistors are direct coupled and have closed loop feedback. T2 realises the amplifiers full voltage gain, T1 merely buffers T2 and operates in emitter follower mode providing a good low output impedance.

It can be used with a small electret microphone or any other low signal.
The image in Multisim shows the amplification and the distortion level, and consumption of the circuit is less than 3mA (no load), the power source from 3v to 16v.

Simple one transistor microphone preamplifier:

This easy circuit is a good amplifier for low audio signals such as electret microphone. Use it in front of an RF oscillator to make an RF transmitter that’s very sensitive to sound, you can use a lithium cell 3.6v to power it or just 9v battery. you can also make multiple stages to get more amplification.
